Be inspired by our range of stunning exhibitions:

  • Aotearoa Quilters ‘Growth’ challenge
Members were challenged with the theme ‘GROWTH’ – population growth, children growing, plants growing, ideas growing… – the possibilities were endless.
  • Folk & Decorative Artists Guild (Canty) Inc exhibition
  • Canterbury Beaders
  • “Kaffe’s Snowball Effect”
A collection of unique quilts created by participants of Kaffe Fassett’s Garden Chintz workshop in Christchurch early this year. They show how differently we all view colour, print and scale. They also show how through simply changing your fabric choices in an otherwise identical pattern can change the whole look, feel and effect of the quilt. Injecting your own personality into it and making it truly your own.
  • Merrilyn George – ‘Set Apart’
Twenty quilts by a leading NZ quilter.  The inspiration for the body of work ‘Set Apart’, is the active life of the remarkable French woman, Marie Henriette Suzanne Aubert.  See some examples below:

Support a good cause!

Profits from the 2014 show will go to the Christchurch City Mission which does fantastic work with those who are marginalized through social and economic factors. For example they distribute up to 35 food parcels per day. They also run a Christmas lunch for about 700 guests making them the perfect partner for this year's Crafty Christchurch with its Christmas Theme.

We will also be running Daily Raffles, with wonderful goodies from  our merchants and other generous sponsors.

Make a decoration!

We are inviting you to make a decoration to hang on trees at the show.  These will be donated to the City Mission.

The decorations can be up to 10cm in any direction and made in any medium.

They can be delivered to Stitch (27a Colombo St) or Make (232d main South Road), posted to 147 Marshland Road, Christchurch 8061, or dropped in at the show.
